32 Weeks - Great Expectations....(For snow!)

This week was the hospital class where we learned all about what to expect for the big day and afterwards.  We made it home just in time to get 15 inches of snow! Baby enjoyed the first 'big' snowstorm of the year (big by Chicago standards) but we hope it warms up in time for baby's arrival in 7 weeks :)

Week 31 - Down to Single Digits

Only 9 weeks left - hard to believe we are into the single digits!  I forgot to take a picture at week 30, but the exciting news we got the crib delivered that week (so a nursery pic will be just as exciting...the room is a work in progress!)

Week 29 - Showered with Love

This week we were surrounded by family and friends who all joined us in a cold, snowy Chicago to celebrate Baby K.  Despite cancelled flights, treacherous roads, and a slushy mess of a city, we were so blessed to have such a great crew come and show their love.  Everything was beautiful and planned to a 't', with no detail left unthought of.  Everyone was so generous with their time and love, not to mention gifts, and we couldn't be more grateful.  This is one lucky little boy/girl, and we are lucky as well.  Thank you to all!

Week 28 - Happy New Year!

Welcome 2015! So excited about what lies ahead this year.  We were lucky enough to spend a wonderful New Years Eve with friends, and enjoy an awesome view at the Bulls game on New Years Day (not to mention a win....great way to start the year!)

Very grateful to have spent a fabulous week with family and friends.  We have a lot to celebrate this Christmas and are very blessed for all of the love and support.  Happy Holidays to everyone!

Week 26 - Maternity Fashion

For anyone who didn't watch the news last week - I volunteered to help a friend at a TV station doing a segment on maternity fashion for the holidays.  While it was fun to have 15 seconds of fame, the best part was seeing Santa who was on right after!

Baby is doing well - kicking and bopping around.  It's the length of a green onion (14 inches) and weighs as much as a rutabaga (1.5 lbs).  Happy Holidays everyone!

Week 25 - Hola Mexico!

This week we went to Punta Mita, Mexico for a little 'babymoon' getaway.  A great opportunity to relax, unwind and enjoy some last bit of sleep before life with a baby in a few short months :)  We enjoyed golf, the beach, pool and lots of great food and hospitality.  Baby is doing well and enjoyed the trip also. He or she is about 13 inches long and 1 1/2 lbs.  Sometimes it even gets the hiccups - talk about a weird feeling!
